Roseann O'Reilly Runte is the President of Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. She is the former President of the Canadian Commission for UNESCO, member of the Club of Rome and Chair of the Board of the Foundation for International Training, and a Fellow of the World Academy. She holds a Ph.D. in French literature from the University of Kansas and has received numerous awards for her scholarly and volunteer work. Her creative writing was recognized by a poetry prize from the Academie Française.
