Job Title:

International Consultant, Facilitator and Coach

David Norris is an American who has worked for more than 40 years as a college teacher, manager, international consultant, facilitator and coach. He originally studied English and Comparative Literature at Columbia University in New York, where he received a PhD and also was a member of the faculty. As a Fulbright Scholar, he conducted research at the Free University in West Berlin and at the Brecht Archive in East Berlin during the height of the Cold War. On his return to the U.S. he was an Assistant Professor of Literature at City College of New York. Shifting from academia to the business world, he worked with organizations, teams and individuals in North America, Europe, Australia, India and the Middle East. The focus of his work has been employing non-linear, post-rational thinking and distinction-based learning to uncover and move beyond fundamental (often unconscious) assumptions as a basis for the generation and implementation of new possibilities. He works in both the English and German languages.
